2.2 AISG RET Control Cabling
Andrew’s RET control cabling (Figure 2-4) is compliant to AISG standards and is offered in a wide
variety of lengths. Each cable has a male and a female 8–pin circular connector. These AISG compli-
ant connectors have locking screw–rings and are keyed to provide a matching fi t with the ports on the
actuator, controller, and other RET devices.
Each pin is capable of supporting 5 amps. Four-way and seven-way junction boxes (Section 2.3) with
AISG compliant connectors are also available to enable up to 32 devices to be linked to the controller
using the AISG compliant RET control cabling.
See Figure 2-5 and Table 2-2 for AISG connector pin defi nitions. Refer to Table 2-6a for available cable
lengths and their part numbers, as well as Andrew RET component part numbers.
Warning! Cable should never be cut to change genders.

The male connector should be attached towards the bottom end (component
output side), and the female connector should be attached at the top end
(component input side). No weather proofi ng is required. Connectors should only
be hand tightened.
